Indeed, this oriental medicine is now practiced throughout the world and is recognized by the World Health Organization for its good results on many pathologies.

Here in Quebec, acupuncture is officially accepted as a health profession and is regulated by the Order of Acupuncturists of Quebec, which ensures excellent training and the integrity of its members, thus protecting the public. Similarly, most private insurance companies, the CSST and the SAAQ now reimburse acupuncture treatments and many doctors prescribe them to their patients.

Based on the existence of a vital energy, circulating throughout the body through the meridians, this energy therapy uses mainly very fine needles that are inserted on specific places located on the meridians and having a therapeutic function: these are the acupuncture points. When the circulation of energy is slowed down or blocked, various discomforts may be felt, such as pain or fatigue for example. The acupuncturist, by stimulating with needles some points of acupuncture, can then restore the balance by promoting a good energy circulation and by revitalizing the body. In addition, this is done very safely, with sterile and disposable needles, without chemicals and without side effects.

At the same time preventive and curative, acupuncture, by its balancing effect and in harmony with the homeostasis of the body, can thus cure a great variety of disorders of health. The most common reasons for consultation are the treatment of pain (tendinitis, bursitis, sprain, sciatica, epicondylitis, muscle tension, menstrual pain, etc.), migraines, sleep disorders, problems associated with menopause, disorders digestive, allergies, stress and fatigue just to name a few. The number of treatments required may vary depending on the age and state of health of the patient, as well as the nature and age of the problem

If necessary, our acupuncturist can use the laser (fear of needles, children, region too sensitive like a sprain, biostimulation).
