The main effect of the Shockwave is a direct mechanical force that occurs at the cellular level as the energy wave passes through the treated tissue. These waves cause a controlled impact on the tissue in question. The result is a biological reaction in the cells of this tissue that causes an increase in blood flow, triggering a chain of reactions that accelerates the body's natural healing processes.

Shockwave has proven to be an effective treatment option for conditions that have become chronic, where other more traditional therapies have failed. This method of treatment will break down fibrosis, increase circulation and cellular activity, thereby promoting healing, particularly under the following conditions:
- Chronic tendonitis or tendinosis;
- Bursitis of the hip;
- Calcified tendon;
- Tendinopathy of the rotator cuff and patellar;
- Plantar fasciitis with or without Lenoir's spine;
- Neuromas of Morton;
- Epicondylitis;
- Chronic Trigger Points;
- Chronic muscle pain.
This approach requires a frequency of treatment per week for 5 to 8 visits depending on the condition and chronicity. An exercise program will also be recommended after therapy to decrease the chances of recurrence. In addition, according to the latest evidence by combining Shockwave and cryotherapy, the effectiveness of treatment was greatly increased. The CHIROMEDIC CENTER is one of the rare clinics to offer the Shockwave and Cryotherapy combination.
