Chiropractic is now one of the largest health professions in Canada with more than 5,000 chiropractors.

About 4.5 million Canadians use the services of a chiropractor each year in a chiropractic clinic. Our clinic, located in Laval, offers the services of more than three chiropractors.

Chiropractic is a health discipline that emphasizes a natural and non-invasive approach that optimizes health without the use of medication and surgery. It exists and has been practiced for over a hundred years.

What is a chiropractic treatment?

Among the various techniques used by chiropractors (commonly called a chiropractor), the main one consists of joint manipulation favoring good neurobiomechanical harmony.

As a result of injury, overuse or poor posture, muscles and joints become tense and restricted in function. Chiropractic treatments are beneficial for restoring good joint mobility and restoring suppleness to the surrounding tissues.

The primary goal is to go to the source of the problem and not just relieve the pain. When handling, you feel a slight pressure on the joint and you can hear a noise resulting from rapid joint movement. The treatment is done smoothly and without pain.

The chiropractor can also use articular mobilizations, soft tissue treatment techniques including Active Release Techniques or Graston, and complementary therapies such as neurocryotherapy, kinesio taping, cold, heat, ultrasound, interferential current, cold laser or shockwave therapy. Finally, exercise programs adapted to each condition and to the patient’s working positions minimize the risk of recurrence.

Trust our experienced chiropractors and make an appointment at our Laval clinic today.
